Questions, bugs, or feature requests — email arushiandankur@gmail.com. I read everything and usually reply within a few days.
When reporting a problem, it helps to include your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Common questions
Where are my notes stored? On your device, and in your own private iCloud account so they appear on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. They are never sent to a server I control, because there isn't one.
Why is "Scan for Actions" greyed out? That feature uses Apple Intelligence, which requires a supported device with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other devices the rest of the app works normally.
Why does it ask for Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders? Only when you tap a suggested action. Looking up a name you wrote, adding an event, or saving a reminder each need the matching permission. Decline any of them and the rest still works.
Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no subscription.
Privacy Policy
Scrap Paper Pro does not collect any data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
- Your notes stay on your device and sync through your own private iCloud account. I have no access to them.
- Apple Intelligence parsing runs entirely on your device. Your text is never uploaded for processing.
- Dictation uses Apple's speech recognition. Audio handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Contacts, Calendar, and Reminders are read or written only in response to an action you tap, and only on your device. Nothing is copied or retained by the app.
- No data is sold or shared with anyone, for any purpose.
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to request deletion of. Removing the app removes its local data; notes in iCloud can be deleted from your iCloud settings.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
